Mildred M. "Mickey" Dake passed away at her home unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 24. Born February 16, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, she was educated in Brooklyn and Cohoes NY before moving to Gloversville with her family as a young adult. She was the daughter of the late George and Prudence Dalpe O'Donnell. Mickey was a devoted member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries and a member of the Gloversville Moose Club for many years. An avid reader and gardener, she also enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Along with family and friends, Mickey spent many enjoyable outings in the Gilboa and Adirondack area while regularly fishing the Jessup River. One of her great pleasures was entertaining at home where family and friends "wined and dined" regularly. Her love and generosity will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
