Recreation program planned in Perth
PERTH - The Perth Youth Commission will sponsor a summer recreation program in the town park and the community center on County Highway 107. It is open to all youths in the town and the Broadalbin-Perth school district.
The program will begin Monday and end Aug. 7. There will be no program July 3.
The daily schedule is 9 a.m. to noon. Beach days are Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 to 3 p.m. A school bus will transport children to and from the town of Broadalbin beach, a news release said.
Trips will be on Wednesdays and will include the Adirondack Fun Factory, bowling at Perry Lanes, Howe Caverns, Water Slide World and the Great Escape. There will be an evening trip to see a Tri-City ValleyCats baseball game.
Programs will be coordinated by Doris Dyer. Each participant must wear a PYC T-shirt on trip days. The shirt costs $7.
Sign-ups will be Saturday at town hall from 9 to 11 a.m.
