Edwards Post loses to Anaconda, 4-1

ST. JOHNSVILLE - The Morris J. Edwards Post 169 American Legion baseball team of St. Johnsville dropped a 4-1 decision to the Anaconda Indians Tuesday at Soldiers and Sailors Field.

Joe Borowski had a single, double and home run for Anaconda (13-3), while Ryan Zielinski added an RBI single.

St. Johnsville slipped to 7-3 overall with the loss.

On Friday, St. Johnsville topped Herkimer, 5-3.

Tyler Hall had four hits, including a double, scored two runs and drove in two. Wes Clark and Luke Nethaway each had two hits, while Clark had two runs batted in and Nethaway had two runs scored.

Zach Weaver allowed one unearned run in five innings and earned the win.

Justin Roorda, Mark Mula and Steve Hartmann all had two hits for Herkimer.
