During her varsity basketball career at St. Johnsville High School, Caryn Schoff established a scoring record that still stands.

The 6-foot forward poured in 3,548 career points, while leading the Lady Saints to the 1992, '93 and '94 straight New York State Public High School Class D championships.

Sunday, Schoff and her father, Phil, will be inducted as a father-daughter combination in the inaugural class of the Capital District Basketball Hall of Fame.

Caryn, who also pulled down 1,926 rebounds in her scholastic career, shared the 1994-95 Ms. New York State Basketball title with Christ the King High School in New York City standout Chamique Holdsclaw. Holdsclaw went on to star at Tennessee, while Schoff followed her father's footsteps to Syracuse University.

Injuries plagued Caryn early in her college career, but she still amassed 583 points, grabbed 429 rebounds, dished out 106 assists and recorded 81 steals in 106 games for the Orangewomen, a team she captained during the 1999 season.

Phil Schoff made his mark at Syracuse playing alongside standouts Dave Bing and Jim Boeheim on the men's team in the 1960s.

Phil went on to play in the Eastern Professional Basketball League where he averaged 40 points a game with the Schaeffer Brewers and the Utica Wreckers, earning a stint with the Atlanta Hawks.

Phil and Boeheim will be reunited Sunday night as the Syracuse University men's basketball coach is slated to be among the feature speakers at the Hall of Fame inductions at the Terrace Restaurant in Troy.

The Schoffs will be joined in the inaugural class by former Gloversville standout and four-time Foothills Council Most Valuable Player Chris Ciaccio and coaches Don Landrio and Jim Zullo.
