Canajoharie teen charged in sex case

ROOT - The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department has arrested a 19-year-old Canajoharie man accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl and videotaping it.
Deputies said Ira P. Huntington, 19, of 1282 Latimer Hill Road, had sex with the girl at a residence of Huntington's in Root. He recorded video of the two with his laptop computer, which deputies found at his home, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Huntington was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual misconduct. He was arraigned in Glen Town Court and sent to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Town Court at a later date.
