Beverly and John Holmes of Gloversville, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this week. The couple married June 4, 1949 in Amsterdam. A family party is planned for later in the summer.
They have four children, Jackie (Larry) Smith of Northville, Mark (Sally) Holmes of California, Dale Holmes of Clifton Park, Janet (Tom) Velte of California; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Luis) Ribas of Valencia, Spain, Matt Smith of North Carolina, April Holmes of New Hampshire, Melody Holmes of California, Katie Holmes of Gloversville, Michael Velte of California; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Sam Ribas of Spain.
