DeMallie seeks supervisor post
MOHAWK - Wayne T. DeMallie has announced he is seeking the Democratic candidacy of supervisor for the town.
He has lived in the town for more than 50 years at 159 Third Ave. with my wife of almost 30 years, Erlinda.
He raised two children who attended Fonda-Fultonville Central School, as he did.
He is a graduate of Fulton-Montgomery Community College, receiving an associate degree in accounting. He is employed as a parts and Internet salesman at H&M Equipment Co. in Amsterdam.
DeMallie said he wants more done to involve the youths of the town, villages and county.
"They need structured recreation through youth commissions like the ones in Fonda and Tribes Hill," he said in a news release.
"We have to bring new businesses to the area; we need to encourage the businesses that we already have to stay and expand," he said.
"We need to continue investigation into development of the Mohawk River waterway and surrounding shore into a viable recreation and commercial region within our town and county," he said.
