JOHNSTOWN -?Newly installed State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher will visit Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Tuesday as part of a tour of the entire State University of New York system.

The tour is a first step in developing a strategic plan for the university, a news release said.

The tour, which began Wednesday, will give Zimpher her first opportunity to meet with campus leaders as chancellor. Zimpher assumed her new role Monday.

During her visit, she will meet with FMCC's governing board, faculty, staff, students and local community leaders.

"We are excited to have Chancellor Zimpher visit FM," FMCC President Dustin Swanger said in the news release. "This provides us an opportunity to explain our successes and challenges as SUNY prepares a new strategic plan. ... The key to our future success will be strong planning and continued community support."
