Eschler running for re-election as clerk
JOHNSTOWN - Republican Fulton County Clerk William Eschler has announced his intention to run for re-election to a new four-year term.
"It has been an honor and a privilege to represent the people of Fulton County as the county clerk, and I would like to continue in that capacity for another four years," he said in a prepared statement Tuesday.
Eschler, a Northville resident, graduated in 1977 from Utica College with a bachelor's degree in public management .
He served as deputy county clerk from 1980 to 1986 and was the owner of Calder Park Ltd. Food Brokerage from 1986 to 1998. He has served as county clerk since 1998. He is a member of organizations including the New York State Association of County Clerks, Fulton County Republican Committee, Bleecker Fish and Game Club and the Southern Adirondack Snowmobile Club.
