Pollak, Mang claim Royal Mountain wins
By?The Leader-HeraldCAROGA LAKE - Johnstown's Kyle Pollak and Fort Plain's Spencer Mang both won Monster Motocross events at Royal Mountain Ski Area Monday.
Pollak topped the field in the 125 2-stroke class, in which Kenneth Crouse III of Fort Plain was fifth.
Mang won the 65cc 7-11 class.
Canajoharie's Stephen Matis was third in the quad amateur class, which was won by Christopher Merrill.
Port Jefferson's Jake Scott won the 122-open novice class.
South Cairo's Cody Veverka won the 122-open amateur class and Gansevoort's Ryan Blizzard won the 122-open expert class.
Veverka also won the 122-250cc amateur class and Scott also won the 122-250cc novice class.
Westmoreland's Preston Young won the quad expert class and Fulton's Eric White won the quad novice class.
Oxford's Taylor Chapman won the mini quad 90cc class and Malone's Michael Leaf won the mini quad 50cc class.
Glens Falls' Joe Dibella won the plus-45 class and Gansevoort's Alexis Battista won the 50cc oil injected class.
Whitesboro's Mitch Dougherty won the 122-250cc expert class.
