Margie Mae Sanders, the daughter of Melody Connell and stepfather, Joe Connell of Albany and father, Aubrey Sanders of Wells, was united in marriage to Michael John Edwards Sr., the son of Rebecca Shults and stepfather, Keith Shults of Mayfield, and late father Michael David Edwards of Edinburg, at 1 p.m. Aug. 17, 2008.

The ceremony took place at the Beardslee Castle, Little Falls, Herkimer County. The Wells Town Justice Mindy Morrison officated.

The bride was escorted by her father and grandfather, Aubrey Sanders and Allen Hunt of Wells.

The maid of honor was Michelle Murphy of Broadalbin, cousin of the bride. The bridal attendant was Maribeth Hunt of Wells, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Isabella Edwards of Edinburg, cousin of the bridegroom.

The best man was Chad Sisum of Northville. The groomsman was Dillon Hunt of Lake Pleasant, cousin of the bride. The ringbearer was Michael John Edwards Jr. of Wells, son of the bridegroom and bride.

A reception for 150 guests took place at the Beardslee Castle as well.

The bride is a graduate of Wells Central School and is an office coordinator for Nathan Littauer Hospital.

The bridegroom is a graduate from Mayfield Central School and is a logger.
