GLOVERSVILLE - A man was attacked as he slept in bed at his East Pine Street home Dec. 29, city police say, and three suspects have been charged in the crime.

Police said Steven Pierre, 26, of 17 Second St., Andrew Williams, 23, of 30 Second Ave., and Sean Armstrong Jr., 19, of 31 James St., were arrested Monday and charged with burglary and assault.

Police said Williams wanted to assault the victim for personal reasons, and the others went with Williams from his home and to the victim's home. The three jumped the victim while he was asleep in his bed, held him down and struck him with their fists, police said.

The victim was treated at Nathan Littauer Hospital for facial swelling and bruising and released. The three suspects turned themselves in and were Monday arraigned in City Court, police said. Each was sent to the Fulton County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
