JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown Veterans Day program will take place at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Charles Jenner Bandshell on West Main Street.
The program will begin after all church bells have sounded.
The Parade Committee's Veteran's Day Program will consist of the following events and participants:
Master Chief Storekeeper John B. Morris will be the master of ceremonies.
The American Legion Post 472, the Johnstown Police Department Honor Guard and the Johnstown Fire Department will serve as color guards.
Dr. Earl Johnson of the First Presbyterian Church will deliver the invocation.
Johnstown Fire Chief Bruce Heberer, U.S. Navy, will lead the pledge of allegiance.
The Johnstown High School Marching Band will perform the National Anthem.
A moment of silence will be observed for deceased veterans.
Mayor Sarah Slingerland will speak and the Johnstown High School Chamber Choir will perform.
Assistant Fire Chief Michael Heberer, U.S. Navy Seals, and firefighter Kirk Horan, U.S. Coast Guard, will present the wreath.
Johnson will give the benediction and the Johnstown Police Department Honor Guard will fire a three-shot salute.
Marching Band members Eric Achzet and Sarah Harris will perform taps.
