Bill and Helen Witts of Schenectady and Northville, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
The couple married April 25, 1948 at St. Mary's Church, Schenectady.
Helen Witts graduated from Nott Terrace High School, Schenectady. She was a cook at the Tick Tock Tavern for 25 years and a home health aide with the Visiting Nurses Association until she retired.

Bill Witts was born and raised in Scranton, Pa. He joined the Navy and served in the Pacific theater during World War II. After the war, he lived in Schenectady, where he worked for Alco and the city for 31 years until he retired.
They have two children, Billy Witts of Hope and Christine Witts of Schenectady.
