Piseco Library to present band
PISECO - The Friends of Piseco Library will feature the Wood's Tea Company at the Thursday Coffeehouse at Piseco School beginning at 7 p.m.
This program is partially funded by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts, under administration by the Hamilton County Decentralization, under direction of the Adirondack Lakes Center of the Arts.
Early arrival is encouraged as seating is limited.
The Wood's Tea Company is a Vermont-based folk group that plays sea chanties, folk music, bluegrass and Celtic ballads.
The group has performed in all of the contiguous states and is known for its harmonies and musicianship. They play more than a dozen instruments that run from Bizouki to hammered dulcimer. Included are more familiar instruments such as guitar, banjo and violin.
The Wood's Tea Companyis making its fifth appearance at Piseco and will perform this year without its founder Rusty Jacobs who died last year.
Refreshments will be sold and a donation will be collected at the door to raise funds for the Piseco Library in its continual commitment to improve literary sources for their patrons.
