PERTH - Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday, including a teenager who was flown by helicopter to Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Fulton County sheriff's deputies investigated the crash at 2:24 p.m. Wednesday at Steers and Smith roads.
Deputies said driver Constance L. Bollen, 61, of 111 Union Mills Road, Galway, and a passenger in her car - Jeffrey J. Hoyt, 15 - both complained of pain over their entire bodies. Both were taken to Nathan Littauer Hospital.
Another passenger in the car - Sean H. Farina, 16 - complained of pain to the shoulder or upper arm. Deputies said he was flown by medical helicopter to Albany Med.
Deputies said a sport utility vehicle driven by Timothy J. Robertshaw, 68, of 47 Catherine St., Amsterdam was eastbound on Smith Road. Deputies said the Bollen vehicle was southbound on Steers Road.
Bollen stated at the scene she was not familiar with the road and didn't see a stop sign before she drove through the intersection and into the path of the Robertshaw vehicle, deputies said.
Bollen was ticketed on charges of suspended or revoked registration and failure to stop at a stop sign.
