Leonard C. and Dorothy E. (Gray) Young of Oppenheim, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at their home with family members in attendance. They have lived their lives together in a home that has been in the Young family for over a century.
The couple married June 5, 1948 at the Lassellsville United Methodist Church, Ephratah.
They have three children, Karen Mettler of Lassellsville, Alan and David Young, both of Oppenheim; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Young worked as a teacher's assistant for 42 years at the Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School.
Leonard Young served on the Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School Board of Education for 18 years.
