Linda was born on June 11, 1943 in Gloversville, New York, the daughter of Harold and Ethel Ruth Haban Smith.
She had been married in East Hartford on July 26, 1997, to Richard W. Heronemus.
Following high school, Linda graduated from the Hartford Airline School; and for the past several years, was the co-owner of ServiceMaster in Waterford.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who, aside from doting on her family, enjoyed knitting.
Besides her husband, Linda is survived by a daughter, Traci Meredith of Niantic; two sons, Mark A. Strasser and his wife Sue of Rutland, MA., Michael J. Strasser of Niantic; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Dixon of Indianapolis, IN., Ruth Heronemus of Brooklyn, NY., Mary Heronemus of Lebanon, TN.; a sister, Judy Aceto of Manchester, CT.; a brother, Randy Smith of Arlington, TX.; 8 grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Olivia, Jared, Ellie, Ashley, Mariah and Michael.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held from 4–7 PM, Wednesday, May 21 at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St, New London, CT 06320.
