Police say man endangered child
POSTED: May 17, 2008
AMSTERDAM — A city resident who appeared to be intoxicated went into the Armory Grill with a baby and asked for a drink, police said.
Michael R. McDonald, 22, of 5 Hibbard St., was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said employees at the Armory Grill called police after McDonald came in with the 1-year-old child and asked for the drink. The employees refused to serve him because McDonald appeared to be intoxicated, police said.
Police said the baby’s mother was contacted and turned over to her.
McDonald was held for arraignment.
