Huskies fall in Foothills softball

SCOTIA — Gloversville committed eight errors in an 8-3 loss to Scotia-Glenville on the road Thursday.
Cara Celorio had three hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs for the Tartans. Gabby Mazzucco and Sophie Cardinali both had two hits. Celorio recorded the win in the circle for Scotia (6-5 overall, 6-4 Foothills Council) with four strikeouts and five walks.
Gloversville’s Mollee Putnam struck out five and walked two. Maria McAllister had two hits for the Huskies (3-12, overall, 1-10 Foothills Council) and Shannon Holly had a triple and an RBI.

BROADALBIN — Courtney Stead had three singles and a double, while Ashley Jordan added 2 hits and two RBIs leading Broadalbin-Perth past Hudson Falls Wednesday.
Jen Carter singled and tripled for the Lady Patriots as Renee Bonneau and Stephanie Wilcox added RBI singles. Kaitlyn Westfall had a triple, single and two RBIs and Trish Costanzo singled twice.

NORTHVILLE — Northville held Berne-Knox-Westerlo to one run and knocked out seven of their own with help from a heavy bat swung by Chelsea Paul.
Paul hit a double and a triple, driving in three runs in the game. Krista Allen drove in two runs with two hits.
In the circle, Annie Ryan struck out five while walking just one.
Northville is now 6-7 overall and 5-7 in the WAC.

FONDA — Fonda-Fultonville’s Amy Hitchcock smacked a solo home run to help her team to the WAC win, while Kayla Ladd drove in a run with a double.

ST. JOHNSVILLE — Duanesburg tallied eight runs in the fourth inning to pull away from St. Johnsville Monday. The Saints scored their three runs in the sixth inning ,
Duanesburg got 15 strikeouts from pitcher Erika Hillenbrand in six innings of work. Colby Hochmuth struck out two in the final frame. St. Johnsville’s Kelsey Johnson struck out three.

Indian Lake-Long Lake 12, Wells 7
WELLS — Cassandra Mitchell’s three hits led Indian Lake-Long Lake in its win over Wells.
The Lady Indians got three hits from Malinda Palmer, including a double and a triple. Palmer drove in four runs and scored two. Steph Page and Val Hayes both had two hits, and Lizzy Perkins doubled.
Wells is now 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the MVAC.
