Getman Home Board schedules picnic

GLOVERSVILLE — The Getman Home Board of Managers had its meeting April 3, with President Marge Schoonmaker opening with The Lord’s Prayer.

Ellen Funke, the secretary, read her report which was accepted. The various committees gave their reports.

Bids for new carpeting were discussed. The constitution was discussed and changes were made.

Bob and the Bobcats and the Irish Trubadours entertained the residents during March. The Easter bunny also visited the residents and brought them treats.

Gordon Almy Jr. was admitted as a new resident.

The residents went to Romano’s for their monthly luncheon in March with transportation provided by some of the board members.

The annual picnic was discussed and scheduled for June 19.

The home will celebrate Marie Boyden’s birthday April 30.

After the meeting was adjourned, tea and cookies were served by board members.
