Wet weather alters local sports schedule

Most local games were postponed due to inclement weather Friday.

Fonda-Fultonville’s non-league baseball game at Broadalbin-Perth was postponed along with Gloversville’s game at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.

The Western Athletic Conference baseball and softball games between St. Johnsville and Northville also have been postponed.

The softball game between Fort Plain and Galway also was postponed.

Johnstown’s boys’ tennis match against Queensbury and Gloversville’s match with South Glens Falls have been postponed as well.

Make-up dates have not been announced.

Also, today’s Gloversville Baseball Tournament has been postponed and will be made up April 19. Gloversville will face Fonda-Fultonville at 9:30 a.m. at Husky Field, while Broadalbin-Perth hosts Schuylerville. The consolation and championship games will be played at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Husky Field.
