Wrong again, and again and... President Obama violated a “clear and unambiguous” law when he released five Guantanamo Bay detainees in exchange for Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, the Government Accountability Office reported Thursday.

“[The Department of Defense] violated section 8111 because it did not notify the relevant congressional committees at least 30 days in advance of the transfer,” the GAO report said. “In addition, because DOD used appropriated funds to carry out the transfer when no money was available for that purpose, DOD violated the Antideficiency Act. The Antideficiency Act prohibits federal agencies from incurring obligations exceeding an amount available in an appropriation.”

The GAO rejected the idea that the action was legal and sidestepped the Obama team’s suggestion that the law is unconstitutional

I wonder if Obama is in the running for the Nobel Peace Prize this year? I am sure that all of those bombs he is throwing around (and for once rightfully so) are peaceful? ISIS may be coming to a town near you because Obama has upset them... Oh dear!

what made you think I was referring to you? Women are cool, and from where I sit, you sound like one so I guessed that you were. Don't get your panties in an uproar! You seem to be the sexist queen that gets insulted over women. I'm actually more interested in your government funded research group. Let us know about it and relax a bit sweetie

So Used, you have so many answers, and you seem to know a lot about every topic, why is it that even after repeatedly telling you that I was not female you insist on referring to me as such? Is it supposed to be demeaning? Is it a message to women that they are not equal in your eyes? Is it that you think that calling a man brings HIM down to your level? Is it supposed to be an insult? I believe that it is a sign that you are actually not up to normal speed a bit slower than the average person... is there anything we can do to help you out?

“Global warming” refers to the global-average temperature increase that has been observed over the last one hundred years or more. But to many politicians and the public, the term carries the implication that mankind is responsible for that warming. This website describes evidence from my group’s government-funded research that suggests global warming is mostly natural, and that the climate system is quite insensitive to humanity’s greenhouse gas emissions and aerosol pollution.

Believe it or not, very little research has ever been funded to search for natural mechanisms of warming…it has simply been assumed that global warming is manmade. This assumption is rather easy for scientists since we do not have enough accurate global data for a long enough period of time to see whether there are natural warming mechanisms at work.

Oh Mr.*****again your stupidity drops out like the sludge in a septic tank. Any idiot with an ounce of common sense realizes that oil and coal are not an infinite source of energy. The process of obtaining oil is becoming more expensive, more complex and is threatening the environment. We have the technology to develop new and better ways of providing our energy needs, but Neanderthals like you pound their chests and grunt “drill baby drill”. Electric cars are just part of an effort, not the only effort. There needs to be a comprehensive energy plan that gradually weans us off oil and coal. We do need to continue to use, develop and provide oil and coal but to do it at the expense of the development of alternate sources is asinine. Future generations will thank those with the foresight to lay the foundation for alternative energy sources and wonder why there were obstructionists like you to ignorant to realize its need.

Since libs are against coal, nuclear and fossil fuel forms of energy, why are they pushing ELECTRIC vehicles so hard?? Renewable energy; wood, hydro, wind and solar constitute around only 8% of our energy needs so where does the energy to power these crappy little fire-traps come from again? Yeah, that's right...all the sources those silly libs want to get rid of. If libs were serious they would demand ending the Electric Vehicle failure but no, they only know how to confuse themselves into believing they're doing the right thing, but their efforts to 'control and regulate' everything has only made matters worse.

Don't speak for me. Wood, hydro, wind and solar are all fine as far as taking the pressure off the oil industry to produce more and more. Maybe we can put a wind turbine up on the Commons Rd to recycle some of that hot air.

TOT: Wrong again. I'm talking about an effort to know where your bottled water is coming from so that you can decide whether or not to buy bottled water from a source close to a fracking site. PA's fracking sites can be found at stateimpact dot npr dot org backslash pennsylvania backslash drilling backslash, along with information on violations and fines. Rite Aids bottled water comes from two Pennsylvania sites, one in Allentown and one in Hamburg Pa. Neither is near fracking operations.

What I find hilarious is that libs hate energy from all sources from nuclear to cow fartz so much yet they use a great deal of electricity and mine quite a bit of irony to to rail at how baaad it is. So hill, shut off your well pump, get off the grid and hand-draw that tall, cold drink of well water with a bucket and rope. Sheesh.

I believe that Hill is talking about the tap water flowing on fire because of the natural gas in the well. I saw that same video back in the early 70's. Today liberals claim it is because of fracking, 40 years ago it was because of the abundance of natural gas and the problems that arise drilling in these areas. Hard to get drinking water from a natural gas polluted well. Hey Maybe we should find a way to remove the trapped gas from the shale... like FRACKING! You know I have never been to the center of the earth but they say it is a mass of burning material like a star... maybe we can remover the gas, all forms of it, to cool the earth maybe even prevent volcanoes or an earth explosion? No that is not a real idea but hey if the progressives can use their imagination why should we limit ours?

If Exxon-Mobile is making record profits how can there be too many restrictions? And, the quakes in Oklahoma raise enough concerns to create the exit clause Cuomo needed to put fracking on an indefinite hold. I think I'll celebrate by enjoying a long, tall glass of clean, cold well water, staright up, while rocking on the porch swing as the day fades into night.

What you said about the EPA is especially true of our Dept. of Defense/Aggression. Good thing the Democrats were able to reign them in. Don't forget, your right to swing your fist ends where my nose begins. Same is true of pollution. If you want to crap in your hat and pull it over your ears its fine with me as long as you stay away from me and what's mine. Ask the folks of Oklahoma if the think the EPA is too restrictive. Those people were sweet talked by money grubbing, mother nature raping, self centered energy groups. PS: Don't drink bottled water from PA. Just ask Druggy.

Hill, for every unexplained happening liberals blame people, well GWB first then every other person that does not fit lockstep into the progressive agenda. The problem with the EPA is that just like every other government agency they have taken over and assume supreme control of everything within their reach. I have seen instances of them forcing people from their homes because of a pond that they dug in their yard or many other leftist hating propaganda slinging reason that they can conjure up. Our government is supposed to be We The People, not we the liberalism arm of the government!

So the police finally released the name of the officer involved after a few days delay fearing for the safety of the officer ... also released a video of a crime being committed and identified the store's location. The store got looted and destroyed. I wonder why the cops were concerned? What exactly did the store owner do to deserve this? Is this worth providing a service to the community? Paying taxes to feed these ruthless people? What exactly does a killing have to do with violent riots and looting/destroying your very own neighborhood? Anger is high and it it is because of our lack of leadership at every level.

TOT has a short memory and doesn't remember the times of looking to see what color the Cayadutta Creek was flowing on that particular day. "Restrictive" laws enacted by environmental agencies that forced the cleanup of toxic sites connected to the leather industry are the very reason why we can step outside and breath fresh air or drink clean water. How many earthquakes have they had in Oklahoma this year due to fracking?

If there were no phony scandals...

A federal judge has rejected a conservative group's request to block the IRS from destroying emails or potential evidence relating to a contentious tea party targeting scandal — or to name an expert to hunt for missing emails belonging to a former IRS official at the center of the furor.

How can you cheer Sen Schumer on for his wasteful spending? If you all want NYS and Fulton county to succeed cut the spending! This is the very most beautiful area in the country, we abound with natural resources clean water and air beautiful mountains and a varied climate. What we need for success is a LACK of Schumer and Cuomo's dog and pony show. Rescind a bunch of restrictive laws and fees and we will prosper!
