So what is a bowling alley, Lexington, a cafe, a car detail, two car repair business, a rental place and a hair cutting place all doing in a residential area?

Yup, a Bar, a Skin Mill and/or a Glove shop on just about every street and 'perfume' always in the air.

moderation, are you too young to remember when there was "industry" all over Johnstown???? Lots of people used to walk to work.

We have more than enough space in our industrial parks. We don't need industry in the middle of a residential area. That area finally has been cleaned-up, and now we want "industry" there? No thank you to the mayor and his "friend".

Anna, Reagan said it best...Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."....therefore, a subsidized Park.

I have to wonder why Third Ward Councilwoman Helen Martin would want a park instead of a business pulling in revenue. The site is not downtown, but it is lower in elevation than main street.

Holy cow! They did such a good job cleaning up the Kargs site that it even got moved 'downtown' and nobody but Ms.Martin noticed!!! Neat trick.

I think the paper has improved and I like the E-edition. The Leader has been free for a few years, now it's time for them to make some dollars. It's good business.

I can't see the article and I won't buy a subscription for this sorry newspaper, but i also agree with the mayor.

Not a Jtown taxpayer, but I'd be inclined to agree with the mayor on this one. Parks don't bring jobs, and there are plenty of them already.
