You're absolutely right getreal, that was as absurd as the other statement about fighting over food, malnourishment, symptoms of scurvy..scurvy, yeah right..British Sailors were called 'limeys' for a reason so if these convicts are put on a diet of limes will they shut up? If anything, jail fights are mostly gang-related, thugs are thugs in or out of the pokey. Keep complaining convicts...instead of Vitamin-C you might get 'Arpaio'd'. It would serve you right.

What a crock! I use to teach classes at both Fulton and Montgomery Correctional Facilities. This story couldn't be any farther from the truth. If anything, the inmates gain weight while they are incarcerated. Fulton has food in their commisaries and most of it is junk food. If the inmates have any money in their accounts, this is what they usually buy! Again, what a crock!

Somebody needs to tell these convicts that they are in the Montgomery County Jail, not Gitmo.

They do seem to be strong enough to complain. merchant has hit it dead on, if you aren't willing to serve the time and give up your freedom to do as you please, don't do the crime!

moral of the story.. if you want to eat well, overeat, drink soft drinks & maintain what is likely an overweight lifestyle... DO NOT BREAK THE LAW AND GET PUT IN JAIL!! sorry the heart is not phased nor is the moral conscience.
