On that paycheck? I dont think so. Why dont you step up and show us all how its done. If living in Gloversville is "high on the hog" I dont want to see what a ghetto looks like!

The city does not need an ego driven mayor. We need a city manager with the education and expertise to run a city.

Even though I'm out of the loop re G'ville politics, I never see anyone floating any names out there of who they believe would do a decent/better job as mayor. Or isn't there anyone??

There is nothing "personal" about an elected official collecting a paycheck while not doing his job. He knew what the job paid before he took it. Working another job 8-5 while neglecting his duty as CEO of our city is unacceptable. His campaign promise to be a full time mayor seems to have gotten tossed aside. He is never at city hall, but oh, we can reach him on his cell ? Please. He needs to decide where his obligations lie. Right now, it apparently is not with the citizens and taxpayers of Gloversville.Perhaps if he didn't try to live so high on the hog, the mayor's salary and a part time job might pay his bills. Always eating out, golfing, Myrtle Beach vacation ? His priorities seem a little skewed IMO.

Since G'ville has become politically stagnant it follows that the situation must be made 'personal'. More drama, few solutions.

The pause between embarrassing comments by our elected officials was to much to bear. Wrandy just felt compelled to fill the void.

Not so far in the distant past, people were very concerned about the mayor not being financially responsible, having trouble with his personal finances. Taking on more work would be the logical solution to financial troubles. So the mayor took on more work but complaints are now saying the mayor should only be a mayor, even though the ethics committee said there was no wrong doing. Comments here blame the mayor for the roads, yet in an article from the Leader on June 8, state mandates are limiting the repair of roads due to the American Disabilities Act. Recently, Gloversville seems to think a change in government would help get things done. Does anyone really think that a change in government would help the council and the mayor get along? While there is enough blame on both sides, does this constant bickering really help get things done or maybe everyone is just content to be miserable.

Wrandy, did your constituents ask you to make this statement, or did you take it upon yourself? You were elected to represent your ward and its residents, not take on the problems of the city as a whole! WEED YOUR OWN GARDEN!!

and the poor condition of the streets is Siarkowski's fault? I don't get the post. How can anyone defend King Dayton by claiming someone else is on a power trip? BUT I DO agree that Gloversville is a disgrace.

Wrandy Siarkowski should resign, like he's good for the city of Gloversville. Another "#*#*#" on a power trip with an agenda. Let's fix the streets in Gville Wrandy. This city is a disgrace, Gville should be ashamed of itself.
