wow usedto, I'm guessing you don't smile too much either. To consistently post to a forum and add nothing to any conversation except to rant about other posters, and then when the whole thing becomes a "pay to play" situation you are STILL here and refer to the "paper" as a "rag" ???? If I were you, I think I would find a more enjoyable place to be informed

It says alot about anyone that would subscribe to this rag of a paper and then brag about it

By the way usedto, did you subscribe to the LH and are actually paying to insult me or are you just trolling our comments for free? I suspect the latter because I don't think your comments are worth a dime any more that you do.

Yeah drugs, few people understand ambiguous grammatical constructs never mind actually USE them like usedto. I liked the part where usedto makes the judgement that I should be less judgemental. Wow.

It's ironic that you mention that drugs. As a Mfg. consultant and ISO, MilSpec and FDA Auditor I fought, for years, the "that's the way we do things around here" Corporate attitude. Then along came the "I don't care what you say, I'm doing things MY way" employee attitude. Knowledge and application is failing as a result of how Education is being presented today. We have too many book-smart dummies who can't make change in a fast-food joint without a calculator...and they STILL get it wrong. Good luck in the minimum wage world Grads. One suggestion; we need 'doers' who can train their minds to work with their hands. Therein lies success.

and wisdom is a lot more than that old, well used cliché "think outside the box" that corporate America truly despises because "that's the way we do things around here"

Westender, I didn't even look at that. -- G-E-N-E-R-A-L-L-Y speaking you don't find tomatoes in a fruit salad with melons or citrus fruits. AND there is a large segment of the population that has the idea that tomatoes are vegetables. Geez, anything to create an argument.

Anna, I suggest you look up the Mindset lists from Beloit College. Check out a few, they start with the college class of 2002. And you think just returning to school opened your eyes???

Learning is not as important as being able to apply what you have learned -- Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit - wisdom is not putting that tomato in a fruit salad.

I have a lot of faith in our youth. I went back to college some years ago and I loved the newer generations. Their perspective and way of looking at life and circumstances blew me away and made me rethink many beliefs I held. We can all keep learning, just keep an open mind.

Congratulations to all the graduates! It is true to earn more learn more but to keep more move to another state. This one knows exactly how to spend but not to allow US to keep our hard earned money! Texas, Alaska and many other states are a far better option for the younger folks starting out. Good luck!
