May 22, 2014

The Fulton County Board of Supervisors is right to keep drawing attention to the high costs state mandates place on local taxpayers....

Spoke with someone today about mandate relief. They said they will be relieved in two months when they move out of NY. Oh well another good taxpayer gone. When will they learn that the ones paying the bill don't have to stay?

Taxpayers are finally starting to see that increasing government interference and control of programs which should be community-based lead to spending which destabilizes a community and chases the "producers" away. It is long past time that these "mandates" be legally contested and abolished.

Surprise surprise bereal..since you brought it up, on the meaningful side of the ledger, Obama has changed (unconstitutionally) ACA at least 27 times. I do agree that the time for talking has expired. Now it's time for some real action or these mandates will continue to grow unabated.

What’s more meaningless – the House passing the repeal of the ACA 50 times or the Board of Supervisors running this garbage up the flag pole again? If you want something changed this meaningless resolution isn’t going to do it and stop wasting taxpayer’s money by putting this propaganda in our tax bills. I would like to see the Board select specific programs to be eliminated and be willing to stand up to the scrutiny of their decision. This is just fluff.

No matter who mandates what, taxpayers take the hit every single time! It is time for them to FUND them and pay as they go, just like the democrats said they would as the debt continues to grow in leaps and bounds!

Mandate relief? We have a better chance of seeing some of the left wing wackos that post on here make a coherent and fact based argument.

Why are we being so generic in placing blame for the unfunded state mandates on the state. Hugh Farley who has been our state senator for a very long time should be held accountable for these unfunded mandates. He is a senior senator and should have some leadership pull and be able to help us, or at least be a leading voice against these types of mandates.

We need to put a face on these mandates, and his is a good one!

The federal Government and State Government should not be mandating anything without paying for it.

We need a constitutional amendment now.
