Private industry run like OUR government?

Just for giggles I just looked up GM's profits in the US last year... Net income Decrease US$ 5.346 billion (2013)

Is it any wonder that they have been hiding recalling anything with profits like this? A feather in Obama's cap... he saved GM?

I just read the contact for Laura Laurence / Campione. No where in the contract does it state that she is eligible for the terms that she received upon her resignation. The contract states that the contract can be voided upon the decision of the Board. Something is fishy here.

Except Grant, this is Gville, and we don't have any true investigative reporters. $250,000 over two years pretty much looks like salary and bennies, a buy out. Anyone can FOIL her contract and look at the seperation clause. Doesn't have to be someone from the press.

Re: Laura Laurence - last year her name on the payroll records at SeeThroughNY was Laura Campione. A good investigative reporter might be able to ferret out whether there is any connection between her change of last name & her resignation.

Taxpayers are forever, "other" employers not so much. Why would Ms. Lawrence even consider such a move? She could not get a sweeter deal anywhere else. Another kick in the butt to property owners saddled with this fiasco!

Oh Hilltopper, I'm sorry to hear that as well. He certainly is one person around here that isn't replaceable. It's a shame there isn't anyone to pick up that torch. I saw him frequently at the grocery store, and I'll miss him a great deal.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jack Kinzie. Throughout the years I have had countless personal conversations with Jack and bottom line is that he saw so much potential for Fulton County that all he wanted was for Fulton County to become all it is capable of being. If your toes deserved to be stepped on Jack was willing to oblige, but you could not ask for a better gentleman or friend. Fulton County's loss is heaven's gain. M.M., thank you from all of us who know what you did. "Always remember to forget The friends that proved untrue. But never forget to remember Those that have stuck by you.

August 2, 2012: Ambassador Stevens sends a cable to D.C. requesting "protective detail bodyguard postions" -- saying the added guards "will fill the vaccum of security personnel currently at post... who will be leaving with the next month and will not be replaced." He called "the security condition in Libya ... unpredictable, volatile and violent." Over the next two hours, Sec. Panetta holds a series of meetings and issues several orders: Two Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) platoons stationed in Rota, Spain prepare to deploy - one to Benghazi and the other to the Embassy in Tripoli; A special operations team in Europe is ordered to move to Sigonella, Sicily - less than one hour's flight away from Benghazi; An additional special operations team based in the U.S. is ordered to deploy to Sigonella. BUT NEVER WERE ORDERED TO DEPLOY!! There is a reason that these people cover these things up. It is because they are GUILTY!

JEERS once again to the Obama administration. This week an email, one among many that were requested almost a year and a half ago was released and as we all suspected showed the reason that this administration has covered the Benghazi story with these lies and misleading information. President Obama promised to hunt down and bring to justice those that perpetrated this act of violence. Why then was the only arrest from this terrorist act the producer of the video that in reality had nothing at all to do with the violence in Benghazi? I want to know why the added security was not provided.(July 9, 2012: Amb. Stevens sends a cable requesting continued help from military SST and State Dept. MSD (Mobile Security Deployment team) through mid-Sept. 2012, saying that benchmarks for a drawdown have not been met. The teams are not extended.) I want to know why there was no help sent even though the attack lasted over seven hours.
