So let me get this straight.

There's so much development in Johnstown and so many people are expanding their houses in such uncontrolled growth that we need to spend $200k to jack up taxes again? I'd guess at least $200k+?

I have had numerous disagreements with Mr. Parker over the years however I believe he has respect for, and the best interests of the taxpayer, in mind. Concerning the comment “Mr. Parker has a history in his various other municipal assessor jobs of preferring his own opinion to the opinion of the governing body", if he didn't, you would accuse him of being a yes man for the politicians. You can’t have it both ways!

Mr. Parker has a history in his various other municipal assessor jobs of preferring his own opinion to the opinion of the governing body, just in case anyone would like to check HIS references!

So, just so I have this straight, the firm the mayor and city assessor want to hire were invited by the city assessor to give the council a presentation. The other 3 firms that submitted bids had "awful references" according to the same city assessor who invited the preferred firm in to present. Perhaps someone else should make a couple of calls to said "awful references" to verify that.
