I've never used any of those terms, and even if I had, your negativity is foolish and has no end game. Read my posts before you accuse me of anything

USEDTO: You are right. He sounds silly compared to the looney left on here that use that well thought out and unanswerable statement "It's BUSH'S FAULT" Or Teabagger, or racist or bigot. No, those words make you folks sound very smart.

I wonder if Solarguy's business has anything to do with the solar industry? If so then he most likely is a beneficiary of the the government largess. If not please accept my apology.

I need neither one, I received a superb education and words don't confuse or scare me. But in an attempt to foster amity, I'll use terms you can understand...like butt-hurt. That about covers you.

FedUp, low information progressive adherents like solarguy and a few others can only boringly repeat various iterations of the same narrative. Straying into our world only confuses their utterly simplistic, parochial viewpoint and illustrates their draconian hate of individualism while at the same time, never realizing they only have themselves to blame. I enjoy continuing to point that out.

SOLARGUY: Present leadership has allowed 14 yr olds to get birth control without parental permission. The liberal position is that it takes a village to raise a child. If you are so successful here in NY, imagine how much more you would have in your pocket if you were not relied upon to fill the pajama pants pockets of the lazy. My bet is that you supply some sort of service to a state or local government. I work with business leaders every day and do not know one that is satisfied with the level of taxation and regulation they face here in NYS.

'I don't expect you to understand me..etc' Oh, poor solarguy, we just don't understand your superior insights. Yup, playing the victim card. All of your posts have one question in common...'Why don't you people just comply???' Too bad you don't like the answer(s) and are ill equipped to answer OUR questions.

"I'm disappointed in the Fox fans comebacks criticism is for the victims." News flash, both of your posts were criticism towards people that do not sheepishly bow to your intrinsic belief in your superior thoughts.

I'm disappointed in the Fox fans comebacks. I don't expect you to understand me because I'm optimistic, positive, and successful. I suppose that I could blame the democrats or republicans, the liberals or the conservatives for everything that varies of my idea of what's right or wrong. Frankly, I think that it's a huge waste of energy and the song of a victim. I'm not a victim, I'm in charge of myself. If you want to change the way things are, then contribute in a positive way, criticism is for the victims.

Seriously, is there really anything either Cuomo or Obama have done to improve daily life for the average citizen that has not choked the life out of state and federal taxpayers and ruined interest income for savers? How can anyone defend them?

The Catholic church should be paying 100% for the shrine's renovation. Unless of course their balance sheet is running negative these days because of their pedophile priesthood. Maybe the Vatican could melt down a gold goblet or two to help out!

mrshubbs, you are right it is a Catholic thing and Catholics will provide 99% of the funding for the renovation. As for any overflow to the county and state just say thank you and leave it at that.

On second thought, please solarguy, DON'T tell us how much more low-information you can get, you're close to the bottom as it is. A simple *thud* will do.

I wouldn't expect it in a Leader-Herald editorial but this one might have mentioned that the survey in question (under Jeers) was taken in 2011 BEFORE Governor Cuomo introduced the 2% tax cap to be followed by the Local Tax Rebate program to be followed by the Local Consolidation Incentive Program. But being anti-anyone-named-Cuomo is the L-H stock in trade.

And as far s the Shrine goes, it's a nice thing to drive past maybe twice a year, but it's the Catholic's thing, so let the Catholics pay for it or let the state turn it into another unit of the Parks & Recreation dept. The rest of us have enough trouble supporting the bloated State of NY.

ABC, CNN, MSNBC and PBS on Wednesday and Thursday all covered the "shocking" corruption involving the Democratic mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina. Yet, while talking about the tens of thousands of dollars in bribes he sought, none of these networks identified Patrick Cannon's political party. Only a Fox News host referred to him as a Democrat.

On ABC's Good Morning America, Amy Robach asserted, "Well, the mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina has resigned after being arrested during an FBI sting." On CNN's New Day, Christine Romans informed that undercover FBI agents "got the mayor to take almost $50,000 in bribes in exchange for favorable treatment by the city."

I'm pleased that our president is in favor of decreasing our troop numbers in occupied nations. I'm pleased that Tonko supports NYSERDA, and I'm also pleased that governor Cuomo is in favor of consolidations. Now I'm a small business owner in this state and I love capitalism. In fact, business is booming and we turn down as much as we do, which means that there must be others doing that work. The U.S. is the land of opportunity. People choose to see what they want to see. Good parenting instills morals into our children, not politicians. Finally, if you want a strong family then you have to work at it. I think that blaming the present leadership for social problems is a cop out. If you want things to change then join some groups that contribute and participate, that's what I do and for your own sakes stop watching Fox News.

Fedup, progressives cannot defend their ideology, they don't know how or why, only that everybody else is wrong. They have been indoctrinated to believe they and their views and solutions are superior and that's all they need to know and needs no explanation. To low information i.e., ALL lib/progressives the Free Market simply means everything at the Market should be FREEEEEE.
