It's almost like Gloversville doesn't want anything positive to happen in its community. Are they going to mow the lawns or do they "expect" the city to do it??? If FUSC decides to go elsewhere who plans on mowing the property then? Bravo to the city officials of Gloversville!

This is a no brainier. The FUSC gives hundreds of kids the opportunity to participate in soccer both in the spring and fall. The city should do whatever it can to ensure the program continues as it has in the past. They have been playing there for years, and yes at times there are parking problems and some inconvenience. The problems are insignificant when compared to the good the program does for FC youth.

While I agree with Mr. Lair about what a wonderful program this is, (My children play soccer with Fulton United)I can't help but think that the club should bear responsibility for the upkeep of the soccer fields for the most part. The fee for my 3 children is enormous. Perhaps if their treasurer had not stolen from me and countless other parents to the tune of $13,000, FUSC would have the money to mow the fields and re-do the parking lot. As a taxpayer, I am against footing the bill for this program as the city needs to fix the infrastructure and then perhaps Darling Field.

Here's an idea........have that treasurer mow the field as part of her community service (if that is what she is sentenced to) and use the restitution that she may have to pay to fix the parking lot.

So, I will ask what seems to me to be obvious. If they don't use the field, then nobody will mow it? Really??? That will look nice.

The city will mow it, it just may not be a priority. There are several parks that are in use which should be mowed first...........Melchoir, Myers, Wohlforth's.

There will never be a a skate park here Lizzie, due to the liability and the cost of insurance for such a setup. I had floated the idea numerous times in the past. Unfortunate but true.
