Against Fraud....I think you are on the wrong page. Air your issues elsewhere. It seems that several of you have seriously strayed from the topic at hand. And, maybe someone should ask some of the workers how much sick time has been given back to the town without compensation!! Stop making guesses and accusations without the facts.

I would like to add I do hear the current supervisor, Mr. Bradt, is a very fair and hardworking supervisor. Someone who is not afraid to work in the trenches right along with his workers. Bottom line is the taxpayers just can't continue to carry the burden of high taxes and cuts have to be made.

Pleasegetaclue and Hilltopper just to set the record straight. Not all Government employees work 37.5 hrs a week. Clerical workers do but they work 37.5 hrs because they get 1/2 hr lunch hr (2.5 hrs) which makes 40 hrs. They are the only ones as far as I know who get the luxury of only working 37.5. Just wanted clear that up, a lot of us work 40 hrs a week and some of us don't even get a lunch hour. I don't get all the sympathy for the highway workers because the have to work nights, weekends and holidays...like no one else has to make these sacrifices? And not just when the weather is bad...year round. Police, fire, nurses, Dr's, etc etc. Many places you don't get ot until you work 40 hrs, anything after that is ot. Highway dept workers should be happy they got it this long. As for people calling in and roads not getting plowed...nope they will want the ot so they will do it, they just won't be able to call in sick the next day and still get their ot.

Umm was someone saying something about being childish? I have to tell you both that your insults and intrinsic rude behavior is becoming so much more fitting to your intellects that you still impress me. Keep up the great on topic posts kids. You will get there eventually!

The pinnacle of irony again as TOT complains about anyone being "off topic". She needs a mirror and also has hijacked my feminine sarcasm. No originality or self-recognition. Just hate spewing nonsense

you have to love the childishness in here from folks like TOT, while at the same time they complain about childish actions of elected. Point in case: .....I put a post up telling TOT where the address of the NLRB is and she hits the "disagree" button....haha. It's like dealing with a six year old. never disagrees on substance since her arguments usually contain no substance at all

Also TOT, The Labor Board (NLRB) is located in Albany. On the corner of Pearl and Clinton 6th floor in the Federal Building. There is NO Labor Board office in Fulton County.

TOT you are so uninformed it's mind boggling. "They have the right to go to the labor board just like anyone that feels that they have been treated unfairly." I deal with the NLRB almost every day. Please call the National Labor Relations Board and tell them you have a problem at work. They will ask you if you have a labor contract and a Union. if you answer no, they will tell you that unless it's an allegation of discrimination based on religion, sexual orientation, or something similar, there is nothing you can do. The NLRB is NOT there to protect workers. you are seriously out of touch

Hill "NYS, employees work 37.5 hours a week. Over the course of a year it amounts to 3.25 weeks less than a 40 hour worker." They also are at work for an UNPAID lunch break every day that amounts to being at work for 2 1/2 hours per week that they aren't paid for. And in health care industries you may still be required to do work while on that "unpaid lunch". that could amount to 125 hours of work performed in a year without being paid a penny. and that is fair in what way?

OBAMA TO THE RESCUE! Those labor donations to democrat campaigns are paying off in huge dividends!

President Obama, flexing his executive authority once again, plans to order the Labor Department to expand overtime pay requirements to include millions more workers -- in a move likely to rankle the business community.

Well Mr. Bob, maybe you should ask the Board. They seem to know all! And, there is nothing self-serving about my statements. Why doesn't anyone care that taxpayers are paying over 20,000 in OT to a county highway employee? Seems to me there may be some mismanagement going on there!

"If the taxpayers and the board only knew how much money the current superintendent has saved them..." GREAT Hearmeout!! Now, exactly how much would that be? What do you know that they don't and why has the Board not been informed??? Why is this information being kept from the taxpayer?. Why are you throwing out self-serving statements hoping no one will notice?
