I believe taxpayers understand the need for the repairs but when you tie in a $1.5 million turf field you are just asking for it to get voted down. This district was in trouble a short time ago and they have a fiscal advisor who didn't know he was short $500,000 in his budget until auditors told him and he still runs the finances?? Are you kidding! Repairs yes but why is everything linked to sports - we laid off teachers but want to sink millions in sports. Kids are there for an education and need teachers to get that. Do we know the difference between WANT and NEED? NO WAY will I vote for this with the sports attached and a threat is threat no matter how nicely you say it. This district lost my trust a year ago and hasn't earned it back yet. Strike two with this deal. The taxpayers haven't forgotten as quickly as the board apparently has; maybe you need principals that actually pay taxes in the district.
