Interesting post ADKman. I would only add to #3 that it should apply to ALL Taxpayer paid functionaries from the POTUS to the local Dogcatcher. By the way, it seems FC has a real expensive head Garbageman.

1. Longevity pay MUST end. Its stupid and irrelevant in today's job market.

2. Jon Stead isn't worth one tenth of his salary.

3. No one being paid with taxpayer dollars should be paid that kind of money. Cut all those salaries in half.

I thought the state was taking over most of the work load of DSS? For that Salary they should combine it with maybe Montgomery Counties! They need to stop cutting the $30,000 jobs and slice the FAT off the top! They are non-union and really are not all needed! Do More with Less Mr. Stead! I am surprised that law enforcement makes less than those that REALLY don't do anything!

I thought Johnny Stead said he cut as much as he could to keep the county tax increases to a minimum. Except for the DA, I see a load of FAT that could have been cut! You have to scrap the fat off the top to get to the cream, but Stead likes to cut the workers instead of his buddies. Time to do more with less. Time to consolidate departments to have one manager overseeing a few departments! Jonny jumped on the governors bandwagon to have local governments share services like Police and fire. What about the county? How many $80,000+ Plus benefit jobs can we reduce the county to? Mr Stead time to weed out your friends from their cushy jobs!

$36,000 in state mandated wage increases over 2 years? UNACCEPTABLE!!

and before the anti-union people come crawling back into the discussion, NONE of this has anything to do with any Union.....NONE of these people are in any Union.....PERIOD
