More needs than pre-K

February 13, 2014

What a bandwagon there is for full-day pre-kindergarten. First, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio campaigned on it, then New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo offered to implement it statewide at state expense....

Decent parenting beats any pre-K. And yes, it is purely political.

Very good editorial. Its just 1 more way to create more government(the democrats). More taxes. As a non-parent and always will be, I don't appreciate having to pay for something like this. Let the parents pay for it in a private setting if they want it. Its the american way, want something and expect someone else to pay for it.

Nothing I can find on this site tells you how to close a free comment account if your moving away and don't want to participate any more. Anybody how how that's done? Or are we stuck here forever?

Due to a move one year, my son was not able to attend a pre-K. Two years later, our daughter did. The only difference I seen was our daughter was bored by the time she went to kindergarten. On top of that, I paid for her Pre-K. If you want your child to attend one, then as the parent, do what I did and pay for it yourselves!

The best thing for 3 and 4 year old are involved parents not a full day pre-k. Its more free day care for parents who would rather spend their money on lottery tickets, cell phones, cigs and beer than a babysitter.

You'd need a college education to even read this thing through.
