If those same corporations would pay a dime in US taxes I'd be all for the pipeline.. I guess we can always go back to "trickle down" remember how well that worked?

The raping is being done by lazy and "entitled" in this country. The liberals are creating a state of mediocrity where success is punished and living off the system encouraged. It has been proven time and time again that socialist states fail. The downfall of the US is being brought about by the "entitlement" mentality that the left touts. And Apple, Microsoft, VISA GoldmanSachs and Pfizer all have larger net operating margins than Exxon. Exxon makes 7 cents for every dollar expended. VISA makes 22.9 cents for every dollar expended. nice try.

TOT, what is the "we" sh*t? "We" won't see one nickel of this money. Exxon Mobil will, already the most profitable company on the planet.

You right wingers seriously need to get your heads out of your butts and wake up to what is raping America.

Who cares?? We built an Alaska pipeline and sell the oil over seas. Who will it benefit? Check your Electric bill then try to get an explaination about it. The cold weather comes every year. Did someone drop the ball on this or is some company from Britan making a large profit on you?????

ADKKEV AND ADKMAN: Let's just say that the pipeline only creates one hundred jobs. That is 1,999,900 more than Obamacare will cost. Why are you folks on the left so afraid of people getting ahead by hard work and ingenuity? Why do you folks think that if the governement doesnt touch it, it has to be bad? Why is it you folks actually think that giving people an incentive not to work (See Congressman Van Hollen's comments yesterday regarding the CBO report) is a good thing? Since when it is a good thing to stay home and not work? Liberals are just enabling the Lazy. You should be very proud of that.

adkkev - Wrong, the pipeline is already pumping oil into refineries in Illinois and Nebraska.

TOT, that is exactly right, and I would like to add, for the benefit of all the environmentalists out there, oil refined in the US is subjected to the strictest standards in the world. Why not refine it in the US? Provides jobs and reduces the world's carbon footprint.

Most of the pipeline has already been built, this is the 4th segment to be built. Lets say for arguments sake that the oil is not for US consumption, why does that matter? What do we get from exportation of Canadian oil? MONEY! we get to transport it, we get to refine it, store it and make money from it. It provides jobs and income. It will be a source of revenue so the government can waste it... what is YOUR insane reason to fight it? But remember the US government has signed off on all of the environmental issues... all that remain is POLITICAL reasons!

So, trying to make everybody poor is the answer, right Comrade adkman? Not everybody wants to be a lazy liberal leech. What's it like to be that jealous of somebody that has more than you? It's easy to identify those who don't bother to see to their own financial future, they don't have 401k's or any investments therefore they hate Corporate profits...they cant get any and can't have mine. So you go right ahead and promote failure, victim-hood and wallow in shared misery with other useful idiots while the rest of us move forward.

We have been over this before adkkev. You were not interested in knowing anything then, and you're just posturing now. Let me ask you, why are you liberals always full of negatives even when a positive is evident? Re-read my last post for the answer until you can get past the word 'individual'.

adkkev, really????? If you can't see how a construction project of this magnitude would help thousands of people in the US, then you not be reading this yourself. Your seeing eye dog should read it to you

MrBob: please explain how this pipeline will elevate individual Americans.

ADKKev is absolutely right. This oil is Canadian oil that will be sold on the world market. It won't make the US energy independent. The Keystone pipeline is all about corporate profits and nothing more, right up right wingers' alleys who figure that anything that makes the wealthy even wealthier is good for America.

Anything the libs cant control will not be done. Anything that elevates individual Americans and/or gets their 'victims' a job will not be tolerated. Same reasons Cuomo won't allow hydraulic fracturing for NG. It's liberal Statist politics at it's normal, disgusting level.

Thousands of jobs? Doing what? You guys do realize that none of this oil is for US consumption ... it's all going overseas. It's Canadian oil after all, so they control its use & sale.

It is incomprehensible that this man has twice been elected to the highest office in the land. Many of his decisions have not been in the best interests of The United States of America, and the country has been suffering because of his ideology and short-sightedness. The voters in the 2014 elections can go a long wasy toward neutralizing his influence - let's hope they have awakened after a terrible 6 years.

There is only ONE reason left to not allow it ti be built... POLITICS! The one sided divider does not know what compromise is. It should have been allowed YEARS AGO!
