Karen Smith backed a bad candidate for Mayor way too early and threw the Gloversville Republican Committee behind him. Well, she obviously didn't have the support of the vast majority of Republican voters in the city which showed in the polls. The voters rejected her agenda. The position is a political appointment decided on by the mayor. It sometimes can get "political". Let him make his choices and move on. Don't like his choices, run a candidate to beat him. But to not vote on other candidates until you get your way, is just childish and not productive Wrandy. Please do your constitutionally dictated jobs and let's move on to something that will actually do something positive for the city...if you can?

Karen Smith has her hands in too many pies. If she wants that much power why didn't she run for Mayor?

What do we expect from an immature Mayor that lies to peoples faces daily? What were people thinking that voted for him?

After trying to shove a totally unacceptable mayoral candidate down Republican's throats and otherwise generally playing Republican overlord(ess), Smith has shown she is just not in control over her ego, personal prejudice and lack of good political sense. She's old news and King is right to ditch her.
