January 7, 2014

As 2014 begins, many Americans will be confronted by one of President Barack Obama’s bigger lies — they will learn they cannot, in fact, stay with trusted health care professionals of their choice....

Ok, BF1 how about you 86 the phony explanations. It sounds good but I've heard that crap defense from just about every liberal under the sun. 'I am not what you think I am", yeah..right, because you say so. You can claim to be whatever you want, your words belie your ideology. So, if you'd rather we believe that you have no core beliefs or moral compass that's ok too, just be honest.

Democratic Colorado Sen. Mark Udall is under fire following reports that his staff pressured the Colorado Division of Insurance to walk back its claims that 250,000 people in the state had their health insurance canceled due to ObamaCare.

I have been giving you an honest debate. I post my opinions and don't worry about which political category they fall. You keep asking me if I'm ashamed? Ashamed of what? Being unwilling to limit my thinking by labeling myself a liberal or a conservative? I just try to evaluate the info wothout the aid of blinders.

Gville, I'm not trying to not buy health insurance. As a matter of fact I have worked for over 35 years and paid for my own 100% for all but three (I worked for a large corp). I am WHINING about my heath insurance going up and my quality of coverage going down. The whole thing is a ruse to shift paying for the uninsured from the government (taxpayers) to the insurance industry (premium payers). As far as Rush and Glen are concerned they are no different than Ed, Rachel, and Al except they are more successful.

Looks like BF1 is just another liberal who spouts liberal dogma but does not like to be called a liberal. Ashamed? You should be. Insisting that you're not what/who you are is not fooling anyone here so be honest, debate and defend your positions or move on, we already have enough libs who don't have the facility for words and you have the opportunity to rise above them. Personally BF1, I would welcome an honest debate with you.

"People who are laid off from their jobs are not evil people looking to rip off the system." Adkman I looked and looked and just couldn't find where I said that (YOU did) or where I claim to be a Republican. Again, that's YOUR assertion not mine. I happen to be a registered Democrat and a Constitutional Individualist which is not in your narrative and beyond your liberal comprehension, sir. A couple of questions that beg for an answer, how does one become one of your 'less fortunate'? Is it somebody else's fault? How does one become one of your 'victims'? By liberal assignment? If anyone should be ashamed of their behavior it's libs like you who enable systemic mooching off other hard working Americans then criticize them when they say enough is enough, welfare and unemployment are NOT jobs so get off my dime and start doing all those 'jobs Americans won't do', whatever the h3ll they are.

BF1, the art of debate has been sadly lost on bitter partisan politics. President Reagan and Daniel Patrick Moynahan were at opposite ends of the opinion spectrum, yet at the end of the day, they would go to a specific bar in DC and have a drink together. Today, we have name calling from both sides and all diplomacy is lost. Diplomacy was the way to come to compromise and probably before the internet era, people would talk and socialize and work out differences. Granted there were bitter disputes, but the hatred was not there that applies to today. Now, anyone with an internet connection can have a say, and a lot of it is negative. It's so much more interesting when different points of view can be discussed without labels or name calling.

Why the name calling? And why do you insist on calling me a liberal? And when did I ever mention Bush? I believe in a laissez faire economy. I agree w/ you about the need to stem the cycle of DSS dependence by many of the lower SES families - that system is broken. You know we disagree about gun rights and I suspect we would differ on abortion rights too. I don't need to align myself w some outmoded political classification system. I can think for myself.

Christie is pulling an Obama. He says he just learned about the traffic scandal. Sound familiar? Obama has used that old lie a number of times. I didnt belive Obama all the times he tried using it and I certainly dont believe RINO Christie. - Nice piece of liberal biased media occurring today - CNN has been covering Christie non-stop today. When Bengahzi occurred, they barely mentioned it. Sad times, very sad times.

The system is flawed and the people are just using the to their advantage. Any system that discourages someone from working is flawed. Take a job that is less than the one you had you get penalized. Make two dollars more than you should you lose everything. The system is flawed and needs to be fixed.

My wife worked for 23 years in a private practice and her boss recently passed away putting her on the rolls of the unemployed. She was out of work approximately 8 weeks before she was offered a position. Did she deserve to collect unemployment over that period of time? or is that what you describe as "living off the system" I do believe the majority of those on unemployment would work if they were given the opportunity, but since most of the jobs in THIS area are part-time, low paying no benefit service jobs, which NO ONE could ever support a family on, those opportunities are few and far between. Before the right wingers go crazy, let me be clear... THIS IS MY BELIEF

MrBob51, I have a bulletin for you. People who are laid off from their jobs are not evil people looking to rip off the system. These are working people. They and their employers pay for unemployment insurance to be used when out of work. You sir, should be ashamed of yourself. You are a greedy and self centered Republican who cares nothing about the plight of the less fortunate.

I don't distrust everyone adkman, just liberals. Libs hate people, I hate what their ideology has turned them into and the constant promulgation of a false premise involving Centralized Govt control...but never the person. You are right on one thing though, I have never been laid off or collected unemployment or welfare because I was brought up as an individual and to rely on ME to take care of my family and I saw to it without mooching off someone else. Were you brought up differently?

I remember the US and I do love it. It is the best place in the world to live. Yes President Obama is my president. I did not vote for him, I do not like his tactics or politics. I do not remember the Democratic party being quiet about the Republican presidents. Yes he lied. If he did not realize the end result of the UCA (also known as ACA) was going raise prices lower health care than he is not as smart as he thinks he is. I do believe he has an agenda and will stick true to his stripes as a community organizer. Before you bring out the birther issue I really don't care where he was born it is moot question and will not matter in 3 years. If every other president lied does that make it right? I guess it is as long as the end result is what they want.

This incessant chorus of "Obama lied" borders on the absurd. He said something that deosn't appear to have turned out the way he said it would - just like EVERY OTHER PRESIDENT THAT EVER SERVED! That is not the same as lying. This frenzied, myopic harping smacks of something else. He's the President of the US - yours, mine, and ours. You remember the US right? It's the country you profess to love so much.

Why so I can give it away to someone that does not want to earn it? As I said they need to clean up their act. They did not need a president to tell them if you are in the coal business I will make you go broke. He can throw money away on solar how about helping them. What is he going to give those families out of work? Long term unemployment? As far as my whining about my 6000 I just want to remind you that my president lied. Yea, he won but he has not won the right to shut me up even though you like to think so.
