I don't agree that there are "some stupid 16 year olds in the world", I do believe that there are many who make bad decisions as a result of stupid adults who do not provide them with proper guidance.

I don't need to read it again. I said there are some stupid 16 year olds in the world. And, I believe I said I agreed that he needed some help.

I wasn't there though, were you?

Maybe you should read the article again Lizzie. While the young man was charged with walking in the street, it was made clear that he threw himself in front of a truck. Seems to me he was not just "walking" in the street.

I agree, but how would we know that? There are some pretty stupid 16 year olds in this world.'

The sidewalks right now are clear - they may not be "even", but they're clear. No reason to be walking in the street.

Obviously this young man needs to know he has worth, he does matter, and life is not as hopeless as it may seem to be right now. Just wondering why some minors commit grand larceny, are arrested for possession of controlled substances, etc. and they are labeled "youthful offenders" and their names are not released. This case involves more "sensitive" issues (attempted suicide), and the world gets to know his business...

This teenager needs mandated psychological counseling.
