How much annually are these people making and when you add in the proposed raise what real monetary hit is there? I mean they throw in the Mayor which is a Part Time Job and really isn't a paycheck that anyone would brag about but they get all the complaints and calls beyond what a part timer would get. Some of you whine bags should run and see what the*****difference you'd make. Jokers.

Why does everyone assume that just because you are there another year you deserve a raise? Are you a better worker? Are you more efficient? Did you get qualified for another position? If the answer is no then there should not be a raise.

You have to know when they do not comprehend they ASSUME you are at fault and spring into action to drive home the point that they simply didn't understand the banter at all. Keep up the great posts MrBob... most of us "get it".

I was simply responding to 1stwardcitizen, nothing more. I'm not surprised you didn't 'get it' clue, you're too busy chasing boogeymen.

I agree Bob,, Please explain your comment,...Not one union member getting a raise. in fact years without contracts. Only the Mayor, who should be taking a cut, Dept Heads, Council....all NON UNION. so where does your comment come in I don't get it? I guess it's just your deep seeded right wing hatred of working people having benefits that brought out that statement. It certainly had NOTHING to do with the editorial

Mrbob51 it reports about the mayor and common council receiving pay raises. They are not union employees.

So few people, so many Unions. No need to break out your abacus to solve this one.

GPD 4 years, DPW 3 years, GFD 1 year, without renewed contracts. That's a lot of back pay when it gets settled. Especially when their giving out 40% raises.

Elected to Serve used to mean something. Now it's elected to a political job and they can give themselves and selected bootlickers raises because YOU said it was ok by voting for them. That's the Local, State and Federal mindset.

Hey with all the new Wal*Mart funds they can follow the FEDERAL governments lead and spend! Shall I explain?
