It is time for a major turnover in Washington. Throw all the bums out and get back to the Constitution. NO MORE pensions, pay your own way for travel, serve the country not yourself. Section 9 - NO TITLES OF NOBILITY - we have no ruling class.

don't get me started

I'm sure the members of congress will look at the "details" of this proposal as closely as they did the ACA (aka Obama Care) prior to voting on it. They still don't know what that Bill contains, and never will.

Drugs: unless I'm mistaken, I don't recall anything in the Constitution about pensions or travel pay. There is an amendment regarding pay raises. So perhaps you'll need to initiate a drive to amend the Constitution to eliminate the perks you have mentioned. Perhaps another amendment to prohibit gerrymandering as well.

adkkev, there is nothing in the Constitution about pensions and other perks. Then we can just take them away like has been done in the private sector. There is nothing that says that travel expenses be paid either, does your boss pay for you to commute to work?? If you live 100 miles from your job does your employer pay you enough to rent an apartment closer so you can "go home" on weekends??? Elected office has become the entry level position on the great money train, it is time for that to end.

Just like the ACA, and really every bill under Obama, they have to pass it to see whats in it... it is I suspect another stool sample from the Pinocchio regime! Piles and piles of fertilizer just one after another brought to you by the current progressive movement! All poopie!

Drugs: I'm not arguing with you about the pensions & travel, etc., I have the impression that you feel that I am. But "we can just take them away" probably isn't going to happen unless there is a movement to actually make this a part of the Constitution. It is another example of the rich getting richer by making the rules (happens in the public AND private corporate world all the time). On another note, what do you mean by "get back to the Constitution"? Thank you!!

well adkev, for one thing the liar in chief Barry Soetoro has signed so many executive orders to enact things that would never get through congress that somehow that document has become just another old piece of paper. It is time to scrap the whole works and start ove using our original documents as a guide. The Constitution ha been amended only 17 times since the Bill of Rights. Not too bad for a couple hundred years.

Thank you drugs. Looks like Obama has 125 more executive orders to sign before reaching the Bush total. 198 to match Clinton. 215 to match Reagan.

Drugs, his name is Barack Obama, not "Barry Soetoro". But even if it was Barry Soetoro, so what? What difference would it make? Actually, what difference would it make if he was a Muslim?

And, just to be consistent, this corporate editor is stupid, and so is his ignorant editorial.

The number of orders do not tell the story as well as the people that it involved does. He has used powers to do much of his divisive work. The number does not bear out the effects.

Dave, his mom's 2nd husband, Lolo Soetoro adopted him at a young age. His name on those papers is Barry Soetoro, there is NO record of him ever officially changing it back to Obama. And he is a Muslim. His birth certificate is a nonissue as his mother was a US citizen, BUT his adoption made him a citizen of the Philippines effectively canceling his IS citizenship at that time. One question waiting to be answered is - what passport (citizenship) did he use to get into Pakistan in 1982 when that place was on the US no travel list?? Call him what you want -- his name is still Barry Soetoro until somebody makes public papers that show a name change.

Because the poop is never too far from the liberal mind...

Blumenauer’s bill, H.R. 3638, would set up a Road Usage Fee Pilot Program, which he said would study mileage-based fee systems. He cast his bill as a long-term solution for funding highway programs, and proposed it along with a shorter-term plan to nearly double the gas tax, from 18.4 cents to 33.4 cents per gallon.

So What? He poised himself as a Christian, if he is not, he lied to the people that elected him. Oh, maybe we should define what "is" is. He is a Christian, He is a Muslim........I don't see the two meeting anytime soon.

Drugs: get your story straight, ok? Philippines? Wrong. Indonesia. 1982 travel to Pakistan? Wrong again. 1981. Illegal for US citizens to go there? Wrong again. There was a travel advisory but no prohibition for US citizens to travel there. A child who has US citizenship CANNOT lose that citizenship (Obama was 6 yrs old at the time). That's citizenship law, look it up. And that supposed college ID card that identified Obama as Soetoro was a forgery since the bar code, etc., wasn't used by that university until AFTER Obama graduated. A muslim? Hardly. Agnostic at best.

no defense for the adoption though, amazing how knit-picky the defenders get. so what defense do you have for the educational grant he received that was supposedly only for foreign students???? IF he is/was a US citizen he wasn't eligible.
