I am assuming the 70K loss has to do with the contract with the county about winter maintenance of county roads. I got indications he was uncomfortable with how well the highway crew could provide these services, and any liabilities that might result from poor workmanship. I agree that the materials from the side of the road could be distributed more fairly if this has been happening, but remember the trees worth $9.20? The people of Broadalbin can continue to evaluate Mr. Winney and decide his fate in 2015.

Wow, no mention of the 70 k loss that lance caused the town to lose ? What about when ditches are being done and the dirt goes to his barn for his landscaping business ? Is that fair , when the property owner asks for it and is told no cause lance wants it ? Not everyone likes lance and or his wife. They are out for themselves , not the town . Wait and see how much he gets away with now to further his own business. To joe D. - thank you for your service and for keeping taxes down and always being available to the public. You were -are an awesome supervisor. If taxes are raised even a penny , A PENNY, there will be hellp to pay..

Mr DiGiacomo's behavior in recent months did him in. He only has himself to blame. His "bully" mentality towards the highway supt. and other town officials was inexcusable. When he takes office, Tom Christopher needs to sit down with the Town highway supt. and the highway workers and politely but firmly make it known that Lance Winney is the highway supt. and he will be obeyed by the town highway crew, or there will be consequences any thing from reprimand to suspensions all the way to dismissal and the union will not be an obstruction. The taxpayers need to get the services they are paying for.
