airphoto - your headline should read "idiots pretend to know the law". New York is NOT a contributory negligence is a comparative negligence state. Your ignorance on the state of the law in New York is only surpassed by your asinine statement on this young man being a fool. A family is grieving tonight - regardless of the cause. I didn't know this man....but I am sure many people did and they are going to miss him. How about if you can't say something nice about the recently deceased - STFU.

Isn't it amazing how many fools fail to simply use their seatbelts. Why doesn't the headline read "Idiots ejected from vehicle?" New York is a contributory negligent state. There should be no insurance proceeds for fools who contribute to their own termination!

Where was Louise Sira when Mr. Lakata was killed? She is ultimately responsible for the investigation. She's the DA after all. She should be voted out!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad there wasn't a thorough investigation when Mr. Lakata was killed.
