Well rs, looks like your inability to compete in the arena of ideas has come full circle. All you're left with is what you started with...a keyboard, a childish mentality and a propensity for calling people you don't agree with names like 'dumb f's'. I had you pegged as a cellar dwelling cheetos eating low information kid from the beginning and you have never missed an opportunity to prove me right. Now you threaten not to 'play nice'?? What a joke you are. Keep rereading my first sentence until it sinks in kid.

rschweizer: - You say "they're there to protect our interests and as a strategy for quick military action in the region if needed on OUR OWN behalf, not the other country's." I guess Obama didn't see that memo. His actions were anything but quick in Benghazi. Any of you lefties find our where the president was for the seven hours our people were under attack in Benghazi? And that doesn't upset you that they wont release that detail? How about applying the same standard to this president that you all seem to apply to Bush. I guarantee none of you can answer that question. Unless you give the answer Hillary gave - "At this point what does is matter." Imagine if a conservative gave that answer.

really swizzer, you should tell some of those who did not re-up and have posted that was the reason. Some have figured it out that the US has become the almost free security arm those places where our bases are now have without spending piles of money on their own military.

RON1960 -And once you get done not answering the my last post, could you give me an idea of how many natural disasters have happened during this presidents tenure that have caused our deficit and debt to skyrocket? I know that Bush caused SuperStorm Sandy and the fires in California, but what other natural disasters did that mean old George Bush cause to make this presidency look like it was managed by a third grader?

If no, please advise who is to blame. Thanks - Looking forward to you ignoring this and posting either a question or something irrelevant.

MrBoB, maybe the "natural disasters" Ron is thinking of are just that, earthquakes, typhoons, and such sending billions (each time) to places that don't like us anyway. Gordon Sinclair was right 30+ years ago and is still right.

swizzer, the foreign bases can be closed, and probably should be. Those troops could be added to OUR border patrol as we all know they could use the help. Either that or start charging those countries for the use of our military.

Ron, exactly what 'natural disasters' has Obama suffered? Do you refer to the world wide disasters that he blames his failures on? The disaster in Afghanistan? The Benghazi disaster? The Syrian disaster? The financial disaster we're deep into? Or maybe the many self induced disasters he has inflicted on America, in which case you would be right. He's a liar, a loser and wants to drag America down and he's doing a bang up job of it... THAT'S the biggest disaster of all.

You're right yukon, the last 'balanced' budget was under Clinton AND a Republican House, just like now. You're confusing the deficit with debt, they are not interchangable. The Us debt is 16.7 Trillion and the deficit for last year was 1 trillion. YOU should get informed and tighten your own wingnuts, you're leaking idiocy all over the place.

fedup0416, I agree that the deficit is way to high. How ever I would ask how you or anyone else can blame Obama for all of it, did not Bush start two wars that were not ended before he left office and were not paid for before he left. Then tell me what president has ever had as many natural disasters during their term in office as Obama. Then you have the problem of the spending, remember it is the congress that must approve the money being spent.

Yuck I believe you are right, the debt is MUCH higher than the 17 TRILLION and when inflation hits to the glee of investors the national debt will explode. If you believe anything like what you just typed... you live in a progressive liberals fantasy land! As far from the truth as can be!

The lasttime there was a balanced budget was during the Clinton yrs...Remeber the Pres the Republicans tried to impeach for getting a blow job..The deficit is NOT 17 trillion ..The debt although still HIGH is at the 2008 level when Obama took office.Republican and Democrats use mis information to keep the sheep within the flock..Time for the sheep to INFORM AND EDUCATE themself to be able to make adult decisioons.Ass far as this right wing nut slanted OP piece...Fireplace fodder..

GIBSON - You are correct. Obamas annual DEFICIT adds to the ongoing DEBT that has now reached a level never seen before. Let me ask a question of all the progressive liberals out here: When does it become Obama's fault? You are quick to blame Bush for things but Obama walks on water. When does this president become responsible for Benghazi? AP Scandal? NSA snooping? IRS targeting? No Death Benefits for Troops during shutdown? Record number of Americans on Food Stamps? Median Income the lowest since 1996?National Debt at 103% of GDP? Why does your side refuse to pin anything on this man? If he isn't to blame for these, Who is?

adkkev, remember reading all those posts that said that spending goes through the house... DEMOCRATS controlled the house during the time YOU say GWB is at fault. PLUS Pelosi wanted more MUCH more than George initially proposed to stimulate. So using YOUR logic it is still the DEMOCRATS that did the majority of this spending, as you have proven!

Fedup, Adkkev is spot on, particularly with the way the Iraq war was accounted for in the budget.

Consider too that Bush left Obama with the biggest recession in our country's history, along with tax cuts, which had a huge impact on deficits and the debt. Just by chance, I just read a great op-ed piece in the American Conservative. Check it out- www dt theamericanconservative dot com/articles/it-gets-worse-for-the-gop/

Also, you're using deficit in parts of your post that you mean debt. The two aren't the same.

OK, There are no Fiscal Conservatives, if there were there would be no TEA party. But hey, how about some common sense ways to reduce the cost of government. Simplify the tax code, eliminate all of the deductions. Now you can reduce the size of the IRS by 95%, including the 20,000 added to manage the ACA. While we are at it, look at cutting the size and scope of the EPA by at least 50%. What was once a useful organization has grown to the point of being useless. Claiming that CO2 is pollution is a kin to claiming O2 is pollution.

And let's face it, there are far too many pork projects. Eliminate them all.

Face it. for every $1 the government takes from the people the people get back 60 cents in services. Everything else goes to overhead.
