There seems to be some confusion on how and who paid and will pay the comp costs. City Taxpayers have always paid the city comp costs through their county property tax. When the tax rate was assigned to the city the amount of comp tax due was part of the dollar amount. Now this is being paid by the city. Gloversville tax payers will be paying the same amount, but through their city tax, rather than through their county tax.

That is correct Arch, but Gloversville is busy spending the future income from Walmart on firetrucks, nothing left for compensation. When do you suppose someone will figure out how to save money and cut spending?

Finally equity is coming to Fulton Counties. Each locality has to pair their fair share. Who but Mayor King could argue against that?
