Unreal after all this time the same blowhards are still at it here. To stay on topic. As a RETIRED Veteran (ie 22 years) it blows my mind how many dimwits take any one cause and make it about everything. All I know is yes I put my time in to protect your opinion BUT some of the beliefs and comments fill me with REGRET. I would say the same to Ted and Sarah along with anyone here. Don't even comment or use Veterans for your cause. You don't speak for me.

Bureaucracies in the Obama Administration have thus far published approximately 11,588,500 words of final Obamacare regulations, while there are only 381,517 words in the Obamacare law itself.

That means unelected federal officials have now written 30 words of regulations for each word in the law.

So what do you think the percentage of an extra couple of trillion will do? I say forget the percentages and take a HARD look at the solid number of dollars spent... Obama is the largest spender in HISTORY! It is time to stop funding STUPID! and the funds are being spent very stupidly!

drugs, the only thing right in your post is that you and TOT are easy targets. At least you didn't include your usual bigoted labels on anyone.

Intellectually, most of us know the feared 'default' as defined by the media and a lot of pols cannot Constitutionally happen unless the President finally tears the Constitution in half. That is also unlikely to happen. The monthly US debt will continue to be serviced ie. interest, as the IRS currently takes in +$200 Billion/Mo. and interest is around $80 Billion. For many reasons I'm starting to think that maybe a default is what is needed to reset Govt spending.

usedto, you have turned this thread from a discussion concerning the sad state of government acting like spoiled brats into a personal attack on me because I chastise your pal Barry Soetoro at every turn. You have no defense for his inactions and support of anything un-American, making ToT and me easy targets. IF you really knew American history you would agree that the founders would have been shooting long ago.

not confused at all. They are just words that you overuse. You use them as insults when you can't think of anything intelligent to say, which is pretty much all of the time. And don't confuse snake with worm.

usedto, I just looked and there is a snake in my panties, so I'm guessing that I'm not a she. If those words confuse you, maybe you should be reading a dictionary. The story is long and boring but you could learn something

laker, you make several valid points. Drugs is hung up on terms like sheeple, savior, BFF, Barry, muslim, savior, rock star, etc. she never explains or validates what those terms mean. Thios is not to mention her continued use of bigoted terms....too numerous to mention here

drugs...I'm not that interested in defending anyone. As I've said many times, there's plenty of blame to go around. We have a crisis situation coming up this week...the debt limit extension can't be tied into Obamacare. We simply can't default. If we do, maybe Tony Soprano had the right idea in burying cash in his backyard!

Thanks Pards, and regardless of anyone's political leanings, I think everyone can agree with your "deep do do" assessment.... and it may get even deeper after Thursday.

cbsnews*com/8301-250_162-57572177/ and the current amount on national debt clock. Other numbers were copy and paste from big guy previous post. Percentages or $ this country is in deep do-do.

Sorry about the double post...I meant to add that if I was a congressman faced with a 5% approval rating, I'd show up to work with a bag over my head.....but then again, their concerns are with their special interests rather than with their constituents.

drugs...I'm not sure how you came up with the "rock star and savior" comment relative to my last post??? Even though I think Jr's admin was a disaster, that hardly implies any "idolization" of Obama.

Fedup...Loads of deficit stats can be quoted from many different sites. The deficit $$ amts, percentages, blame etc are all over the board depending on the sources. I don't know your source but I just looked at Business Insider. Google "whose to blame"...Bush jr takes the major hit, but they give Obama his share too. Bottom line...the blame goes far and wide..

But, if percentages make you feel better, Obamas deficit is 103.9% of GDP in his 4th year, Bush's was 60.6% after 4 years and 74.1 after 8, Obamas ave annual increase in his first four years is 11.3% increase in deficit, Bush's was 7.65 in his first four and 8.3 for all 8 years. Are those the percentages you like to see?

Is a percentage easier to pay back than a REAL dollar amount? In the Bush years he added First Term – $1.885 trillion increase and Second Term – $3.014 trillion increase or 4.089 trillion to the debt. In Obama's first term he added $5.806 trillion. Is that 5.8 trillion easier to pay back because it is a lower pecentage? I would like to know how that works. The reason Obamas is a lower percentage is because there was more debt as a starting point. 5.8 trillion is 5.8 trillion. And it takes longer to payback 5.8 trillion than 4 trillion doesn't it?? (Please try to stay on topic and directly answer this rather than answer with a question.

"dump the percentages and put up the $$" HUH??? WHAT?? Are you implying the percentages are somehow insignificant?? Is that actually your rebuttal to bigguy's post??!
