(Candidate) Obama 2007:

"When I am President, one of the first things I'm going to do is call in my Attorney General and say to him, 'I want you to review every executive order that's been issued by George Bush; whether it relates to warrant-less wiretaps, or detaining people, or reading emails, or whatever it is-i want you to go through every single one of them.' And if they are unconstitutional, if they're encroaching on civil liberties unnecessarily, we are going to overturn them."

(President) Obama 2013:

"Nobody is listening to your telephone calls . . . What you’ve got is two programs that were originally authorized by Congress, have been repeatedly authorized by Congress. Bipartisan majorities have approved them. Congress is continually briefed on how these are conducted. There are a whole range of safeguards involved. And federal judges are overseeing the entire program throughout."

I personally wrote to all my representatives. I actually just wrote an email to John Boehner telling him I expect him to do his job and defund Obamacare, even if it means shutting down the country. It is time to do what is right for the American taxpayers!

It is truly sad that liberals do not know the difference between 'character' and 'personal' attacks. Liberals are so mindlessly aligned that ANY remark about their ideology is taken so personally that they will do anything to shut down reasonable debate, hence the constant barrage of childish name calling and questioning everyone elses intelligence. I have so much fun throwing your foolishness back at you because you libs always come back for more and I am happy to accommodate you. There are 4 things all liberals blame EVERYTHING on...Republicans, racism, global warming and Bush. Watch for it in every liberal post, one or more will always be in their comments. SOOO predictable.

Yukon, who said anything about Reagan except you? Tell us some more about what scares you. As for the small Govt. restrictions you demand, I have my own well and my own septic system, both of which I am free to use at my leisure. (Oops, there's that word again that you libs hate..'free'). I drive, two out of three of your demands are already met. What now?? More personal attacks? How about "One original thought is worth a thousand mindless quotes". -Diogenes

Nice post yuck, now I am sure that MrBob has insurance, I know for a fact that I am covered and you seem to be so confused about the koolaid and blindly following of your supreme leader you cannot see the writing on the wall.. or you may be progressive enough to not read anything... the Pelosi effect?? I believe that you need to look into the grammar, spelling and syntax Nazi as you are breaking the progressive rule #44 so your post cannot be taken seriously, although your posts cannot be by anyone that is, well... informed we might say! But keep up the posts. it shows the true progressive style that needs to be shown. Loving caring liberals... join up today at progressives are ____!

Or if you stop paying (as in canceling) for your insurance even when you can afford it while receiving medical care for a lifelong ailment... then Obamacare is for you too!

Gee it seems totally fair when you have to buy a product that is mandated by the federal government. Not because they want you to have insurance coverage... no it is because we must pay for the stay at home on the government's welfare system to get the cadillac plan that even the payers may not afford. Here is the kicker. If you are too lazy to preform work at all and accrue nothing of any value your entire life, even if due to drugs or alcohol you qualify for even more benefits than you already receive called OBAMACARE! There is no great reward for you that paid for your entire existence your entire life! It is for the people that do not want to step up to do the right thing or have made their life a mistake that WE have got to finish paying for... yep Obamacare is not for the working masses, it isn't to help you at all. Unless you are already on that social train or a brand new arrival from a foreign country, then your golden!!

MrBob, do you have issues with internet search engines? Just google "president signing statements" and you'll find everything you need to know, such as www dot theatlantic dot com/national/archive/2013/07/delaying-parts-of-obamacare-blatantly-illegal-or-routine-adjustment/277873/

I also found this statement by you confusing- "Republicans will never offer a Govt. run health care system, that's why Republicans have no 'plan' to compete with you on that field! They are ALL Private Sector Free Market solutions."

Isn't that exactly what Obamacare is? Everyone must purchase health insurance on the free market. There is nothing "government run" about it that I can see. Please explain.

Yukon, congratulations! You got the republican point on obamacare and you don't even know it!!! Bwahahaha!!!! Let me help you out... Republicans will never offer a Govt. run health care system, that's why Republicans have no 'plan' to compete with you on that field! They are ALL Private Sector Free Market solutions. That's one reason obamacare is falling apart. Many States and the Private Sector don't want to have any part of this garbage. Since liberals choke on the free enterprise system, they'll dismiss anything that isn't Govt. sanctioned, operated and controlled. Liberals need victims to 'help' them help themselves to everybody else's stuff including the Medical communities time and skills. Republicans only want to help people to help themselves succeed..period. Liberals win that argument because the lazy way is easier, on your own is tough and we have a Country full of lazy moochers with more and more breaking into our Country to leech off taxpaying Americans every day.

The editor should educate himself before he offers opinions on national issues. If we wanted to hear the Fox News line, we would just turn on the TV. He should stick to local issues he may know something about!

and to add to that Yukon, I don't know why Obama compromised in the first place, no matter what was in the end result, the repubs wouldn't have supported it anyway.

This was Obama's mistake for compromising with the disfunctional Republican Party...The original plan was to create a single payer system..GOP ****** all over that..yet had no better plan to help Americans without HC...The enemy of America in DC is lead by Republican ignorant politicians, followed sheepily by weak Democrats...Mid term elections should rid US of the tea bag morons but I would hold my breathe on that one..

And there you go, Dave. This is your problem. Whenever Obama is criticized you are one of the first to begin yelping, "Bush did it too." Let me remind you that Obama was elected on a "slogan" of "hope and change." Does that not mean changing what Bush and/or any other president did and doing it a different and better way? Hopeless change is what we got and will have until he leaves office.
