And who was the code enforcement officer that told DiGiacomo he did not need a fence 15 years ago? Dickson and DiGiacomo; its like the Hatfields and Mc Coys next door to each other. Expect that feud to continue.

JEERS to the clowns in Washington! Isn't it funny how one party calls for an investigation into a clown act but not to the NSA, Benghazi or IRS? It shows what half of this country is made of when a comedy act is more important than the needless death of Americans or the RIGHT to the expectation of privacy and fairness of government. The problems start at the very place the solution does the presidency! We need the leadership that leads not the partisan leadership that divides.

Kickman, who said he was told he didn't need a fence? Maybe he never asked or it was not followed up on.

As reported in the 8-9 edition "According to DiGiacomo, when he had the pool installed 15 years ago, a previous code enforcement officer at the time said DiGiacomo did not need the fence."

Better question. Why did it take Dick son 15 years to report it????? Sounds like a lot of petty bickering to me.

An yes ToT, this administration is a BIG Joke. A clown wearing an Obama mask. As our obnoxious friend Hillary would say "What difference does it make?"

One more Jeer. Jeers to the City of Gloversville wasting $1,000,000 on a fire truck that is rarely needed. We have mutual aid, 1 truck like that for the entire county is all that is needed. Use the one in Johnstown.

Childish vandalism of political signs, downtown flower pots not being watered, trees not being pruned...merchants complain. In other news, congratulations on your soon to be brandy new million dollar Tonka toy ladder truck to serve the incredible shrinking population and tax base of my home-town Gloversville. Stupid move, it would be cheaper to just consolidate the two Cities so both can survive, but noooo, too many political fiefdoms at risk for something sensible such as that.

Jeers for not allowing comments regarding Nigeria where fundamentalist muslims are killing other fundamentalist muslims and now America should give them aid to stop the violence. Why? We should encourage them to continue their religious sport of killing each other, keeps them from killing decent people. They believe they're 'following the will of allah'. So, let them. Or let that mysterious Nigerian Prince we've all heard about foot the bill, that works for me. NO more American aid to the islamic cult of depravity, ignorance and death.

Yup, the million dollar fire truck is a great investment, BUT if you pay out of pocket for the damage done to any building that would need that truck over the life of the truck we would likely save the entire million dollars! It isn't like they would have used the new found income from Wal*mart to relieve the OVERTAXED residents of Gloversville anyway! Regime change is also evidently needed in this city as well!

Kudos for not posting a picture of the defaced billboard...

...now, if we could put those same sentiments about bodies under sheets and burnt sheep.....

.....because Lizzie, "if it bleeds, it leads". Besides, if people saw the defaced sign, a lot of them would probably chuckle and say ' oh my god that's awful'!!(heheh). I mean, it's not as if this sort of 'free speech' hasn't been practiced on political figures before is it? It is, after all, the local political crazy season..so...bring on the clowns!

So I guess Mr. Di Giacomo never got a building permit and was never reassessed for his improvments. Where are the back taxes? I dont even own a pool, and am not a town stuper. How come I know you need a fence?

Cheers to refreshing honesty!

“I believe that opportunity looks a lot like hard work,” Kutcher began with his first point. “When I was 13, I had my first job with my dad carrying shingles up to the roof, and then I got a job washing dishes at a restaurant, and then I got a job in a grocery store deli, and then I got a job at a factory sweeping Cheerio dust off the ground.”

He went on: “And I’ve never had a job in my life that I was better than. I was always just lucky to have a job. And every job I had was a stepping stone to my next job, and I never quit my job until I had my next job. And so opportunities look a lot like work.”

NEW YORK – President Obama’s half-brother in Kenya could cause the White House more headaches over new evidence linking him to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and establishing that controversial IRS supervisor Lois Lerner signed his tax-exempt approval letter.

Malik Obama’s oversight of the Muslim Brotherhood’s international investments is one reason for the Obama administration’s support of the Muslim Brotherhood, according to an Egyptian report citing the vice president of the Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt, Tehani al-Gebali
