Weiner unfit for NYC post

July 31, 2013

It says something about the American political system that Anthony Weiner thought a political comeback was a good idea in the first place....

So maybe New York's Anthony Weiner has a future in Virginia.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels, a minor league baseball team, held a "Salute to Scandal" night during which they sold $1 hot dogs to poke fun at the mayoral candidate with a sexting problem.

“I may move to New York so I can vote for Anthony Weiner," said a fan.

WEINER RESPONDS TO VOTER: ‘SURE, I DISHONORED MY WIFE… BUT I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING TO YOU!’ Yes, I engaged in some extra-marital sexting. Yes, I lied about it. Repeatedly. But honestly, folks, what is the big deal?!

But, in Weiner’s defense, liberal politicians aren’t widely expected to lead by moral example these days…

Weiner isn’t the only one willing to overlook his own moral shortcomings for the sake of an election. DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz doesn’t have an opinion on whether Weiner should even be running:

Weiner should be not allowed to run for any office because he has proven that he is not able to change his actions and therefore he can not concentrate on doing the job he may be elected to do. Yes that fool is in the same Political party I am. But any person who does these kinds of things should either be not allowed to run for office and if the offence is a violation of law they should be prosecuted. There are fools in all political parties and they should be punished for their actions. And I would not vote for any one who has done any of these things if I knew about it and it does not matter what political party, and no I do not always vote just for people in my party. I vote for the person not for the party affiliation.

It's a very sad commentary on the current state of voters' perception of candidate qualifications for public office that narcissists, power-hungry, egotistical, family-destroying individuals such as Weiner and Spitzer would even be considered. The power-hungry party solons are equally at fault for creating an environment which allows these individuals to be considered for nomination. This speaks both to party corruption and the low standards which much of the voting public employs to make its decisions.

I can't resist. Why doesn't Huma use her husbands last name? Silda and Hillary do.

Although I agree with you Anna, party affiliation IS important here. For years libs have been accusing every other political party of doing exactly what they have been doing to women for years and giving themselves a pass because liberal women LET them. Why is that? Now, the chickens...have come home...to roost.

If this is "the real war on women", then Hillary, Huma, and Silda are guilty of consorting with the enemy. However, did the women involved in these extramarital affairs ply their womanly charms in order to prey on man's greatest weakness? Some women are attracted to power, their drug of choice, causing Hillary, Huma and Silda, in true Tammy Wynette fashion, to "Stand by Your Man", and not opt for her other hit, “D-I-V-O-R-C-E.”

This is the real war on women. He has no respect for his wife or the women he converses with. It does not matter what party he is in, a man with no self control cannot lead a city, much less his own life.

Actually, by NYC liberal standards the Weiner is just as qualified as Spitzer the *horemonger. As I said, NYC deserves these two clowns.

Rs, why do YOU want stick your nose in the LH's business where it doesn't belong? Do what you're best at, posting childishly foolish liberal ideology and let the grown-ups ask the questions.

Three cheers to the Republicans, except for Newt Gingrich, a closet liberal, and their ability to cheat without getting caught.

The progressive tip of the proverbial iceberg... just the tip! There is something demented in their thought and it exudes in many ways in many of them! But do not worry they will pass a law making it acceptable to others, so they can act "normally" and not have fingers pointed at them!

Why on earth is the LH sticking its nose where it doesn't belong? Stick to Fulton and Montgomery Counties. Lord knows there's enough to report there.
